Exercise Tiger Triumph

On 10th April 2025, India and the United States successfully concluded the harbour phase of their tri-service HADR exercise, Tiger Triumph 2025, in Visakhapatnam, showcasing enhanced defense cooperation and interoperability.

  • The exercise featured participation from the Indian Army’s 8 Gorkha Infantry Battalion Group and the US Army’s 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment along with the US Marine Corps’ 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion.
  • Troops from both nations underwent intensive training that included jungle warfare, physical conditioning, small arms handling, and integrated field craft sessions.
  • The event is part of a broader effort to improve coordinated responses to humanitarian crises and natural disasters in the Indo-Pacific region.
  • A highlight of the cultural exchange was the Gorkha martial dance “Gorkha Fury,” which celebrated the bravery and combat traditions of the Gorkha soldiers.
