India Celebrates International Women’s Day

On 8th March 2025, International Women’s Day was observed across India today with national-level conferences, exhibitions, and initiatives aimed at empowering women and recognizing their contributions.

President Droupadi Murmu presided over the national-level conference on ‘Nari Shakti Se Viksit Bharat’ in New Delhi, which include a high-level panel discussion and three technical sessions.
Prime Minister marked the occasion by handing over his social media accounts for a day to inspiring women, allowing them to share their stories and achievements.
The National Commission for Women, in collaboration with the Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad, organised the All India Women Advocates’ Conference, focusing on enhancing the role of women in building a resurgent India.
The conference emphasised the contributions of women lawyers, highlighting their leadership in shaping legal and social frameworks for gender equality.
