WGS 2025 Focuses on Future Governance Trends

On 11th February 2025, the World Government Summit (WGS) 2025 began, bringing together global leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss emerging governance trends and challenges.

The 12th edition of WGS, held under the theme "Shaping Future Governments," features discussions on artificial intelligence, mobility, education, gender balance, and public services.
India’s Union Minister participated in high-level discussions on mobility and future governance, stressing the need for clean technology and climate-resilient infrastructure.
India’s Mission LiFE initiative, introduced by PM Modi, was highlighted as a crucial framework for promoting sustainable lifestyles at the individual, community, and national levels.
OPEC Secretary-General projected a $17.4 trillion investment requirement in the oil sector by 2050 to meet rising global energy demands.
Key investment areas include $14.2 trillion in exploration and production, alongside significant allocations for refining, manufacturing, and transportation infrastructure.
