On 19th January 2025, India created history at the inaugural Kho Kho World Cup in New Delhi, clinching both the men’s and women’s titles with thrilling victories over Nepal.

  • The Indian women’s team defeated Nepal 78-40 in the final, led by skipper Priyanka Ingle and standout performances from Chaithra B in a decisive Turn 4.
  • The men’s team secured a 54-36 win against Nepal, with captain Pratik Waikar and Ramji Kashyap delivering exceptional performances, including remarkable skydive maneuvers.
  • Both teams showcased dominance throughout the tournament, with commanding wins over opponents like South Korea, Iran, and Malaysia in the group stages and knockout victories against Bangladesh and South Africa.
