On 10th January 2025, the 21st Edition of the Third Eye Asian Film Festival begins in Mumbai, showcasing acclaimed films and honoring notable contributors to Asian cinema.

  • The festival will open with the Chinese drama The Black Dog, which won Best Film at the Cannes Film Festival.
  • A total of 61 films will be screened across venues in Andheri, Sion, and Thane from January 10 to 16.
  • The Asian Spectrum section includes films from countries like China, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Tunisia, and Bhutan, representing diverse storytelling traditions.
  • South Korea is the Country Focus this year, with six of its films being featured in the lineup.
  • Javed Akhtar will be honored with the Asian Cinema Culture Award, and Rafique Baghdadi will receive the Satyajit Ray Memorial Award.
