Panchayat Se Parliament 2.0

On 6th January 2025, Lok Sabha Speaker inaugurated the Panchayat Se Parliament 2.0 programme, aiming to empower elected women representatives from Panchayati Raj institutions.

• The event was held in the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan, New Delhi, with participation from around 500 elected women representatives from 20 States and Union Territories.
• The programme focuses on empowering women from Scheduled Tribes by enhancing their understanding of constitutional provisions, parliamentary procedures, and governance.
• Panchayati Raj institutions are instrumental in making women socially and economically empowered and fostering self-reliance.
