On 1st January 2025, Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra took charge as the Chief of the Indian Air Force's Western Air Command, bringing decades of experience to this key position.

• Air Marshal Mishra, who joined the Indian Air Force as a fighter pilot in December 1986, assumes command after 38 years of distinguished service.
• Throughout his career, Mishra has held several critical command and staff positions, contributing significantly to the IAF’s operational readiness.
