Indian Army Heads to Nepal for Surya Kiran

A 334-member Indian Army contingent has departed for Nepal to participate in the 18th Battalion Level Joint Military Exercise Surya Kiran.

The exercise will take place in Saljhandi, Nepal, from December 31, 2024 to January 13, 2025.
It aims to improve interoperability in jungle warfare and counter-terrorism operations in mountainous terrain.
Training will also include Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief under the United Nations Charter.
