On 20th December, 2024, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) reported that one child is killed every hour in Gaza, with 14,500 child casualties since the start of the ongoing conflict.

UNRWA has condemned the violence, stating that the loss of innocent lives, particularly children, cannot be justified under any circumstances.
According to UNICEF, 14,500 children have lost their lives in Gaza due to the ongoing Israeli airstrikes and military actions.
Israel has since initiated a large-scale offensive against Hamas, targeting the Gaza Strip in retaliation for the October 7 attack.
Gaza health authorities have reported a significant rise in the overall death toll, which now stands at 45,338 people, with many more injured.
The escalating violence has caused widespread destruction across Gaza, with the international community expressing concern over the humanitarian crisis.
