Veer Baal Diwas Celebrations

On 26th December, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the nationwide observance of Veer Baal Diwas, celebrating the bravery of the Sahibzades and fostering the potential of India’s youth.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in Veer Baal Diwas at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, emphasizing the importance of children in shaping India’s future.
The day will honor the courage and sacrifice of the Sahibzades, the sons of Guru Gobind Singh, with a focus on their quest for justice.
In 2022, Prime Minister Modi declared 26th December as Veer Baal Diwas to recognize the bravery and spirit of the young Sikh martyrs.
PM launched the Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan, aimed at improving nutrition and well-being in rural areas through community participation.
Approximately 3,500 children, including awardees of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, along with dignitaries, will attend the celebrations.
A series of nationwide initiatives will engage young minds, promote Veer Baal Diwas awareness, and foster a spirit of courage and commitment to the nation.
Online competitions, including quizzes, along with activities like storytelling, creative writing, and poster-making, will be organized through the MyGov and MyBharat portals in schools, Child Care Institutions, and Anganwadi centers.
