National Good Governance Week -2024

On 19th December, 2024, the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare launched National Good Governance Week -2024 with initiatives to enhance grievance redressal and governance accessibility across the country.

A national workshop on Effective Redressal of Pension Grievances marked the beginning of the observance, emphasizing a more sensitive and meaningful grievance-handling approach.
Senior officers from various ministries and departments participated, discussing strategies to improve grievance redressal mechanisms.
The Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore campaign, a core component of the week, is being conducted across over 700 districts, states, and union territories.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that the campaign embodies grassroots democracy by ensuring governance reaches rural areas effectively.
The campaign reflects a transformative effort to bridge governance gaps, improve service delivery, and empower rural communities with accessible governance.
