NCL Launches ‘CHARAK’ for Free Health Care

On 15th December, 2024, Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) launched the ‘CHARAK’ initiative to provide free treatment for life-threatening diseases to economically weaker sections in the Singrauli region.
- ‘CHARAK’ focuses on free treatment for life-threatening diseases such as cancer, tuberculosis, cardiovascular diseases, and neurological disorders.
- Residents of Singrauli and Sonbhadra districts with an annual family income below ₹8 lakhs are eligible for the scheme.
- Treatment under this scheme will be provided either at NCL’s dedicated hospital (NSC) or at empanelled specialized hospitals across the country.
- The scheme covers a wide range of critical medical conditions, including organ transplants, burns leading to disabilities, sudden hearing or vision loss, and acute surgical emergencies.
- ‘CHARAK’ aims to alleviate financial and emotional stress for families struggling with life-threatening illnesses, providing them access to quality medical care.
