PM Inaugurates Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav in Delhi

On 6th December 2024, Prime Minister inaugurated the inaugural Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav in Delhi, a three-day celebration of Northeast India's vibrant culture and economic potential.

• The Mahotsav, held from December 6 to 8 at Bharat Mandapam, aimed to showcase Northeast India's textiles, craftsmanship, tourism, and Geographical Indication (GI) tagged products.
• PM interacted with artisans and craftsmen at the event, emphasizing the cultural richness and economic prospects of the Northeastern region.
• The festival includes artisan exhibitions, 'Grameen haats,' state-specific pavilions, and technical sessions focused on traditional crafts, agriculture, and tourism.
