On 28th November, 2024, Chief of the Army Staff General unveiled "Eklavya," an online learning platform for the Indian Army, advancing its "Year of Technology Absorption" initiative for 2024.

  • Developed under Headquarters Army Training Command with Army War College sponsorship, Eklavya was built at zero cost through BISAG-N, Gandhinagar, and supported by the Directorate General of Information Systems.
  • The platform, hosted on the Army Data Network, features a scalable architecture capable of integrating multiple training establishments and offering diverse courses.
  • Eklavya currently hosts 96 courses from 17 Category 'A' Training Establishments, allowing student officers to register for multiple courses simultaneously at any stage of their career.
  • Courses fall into three categories: Pre-Course Preparatory Capsules for foundational learning, assignment-specific capsules for roles like information warfare and veteran affairs, and a Professional Development Suite covering leadership, finance, emerging technology, and more.
  • The platform shifts "basics" to online courses, freeing up physical sessions for advanced and application-focused training, enhancing preparation for the evolving nature of warfare.
  • A "Knowledge Highway" feature offers access to journals, research papers, and articles, creating a centralized resource for continuous learning.
