Chhattisgarh Launches Successful Property Registration App

The Chhattisgarh government's new online property registration app, Sugam, has received a positive response, with over 1,200 registrations completed since its launch on October 21, 2024.

The Sugam App aims to enhance transparency and user-friendliness in the property registration process, making it easier for citizens to register their properties online.
Complaints of property registration fraud, such as the same property being sold to multiple buyers or non-existent properties being registered, have prompted the need for such an app to mitigate these issues.
The registration process requires users to visit the property, take photos from three different angles, and upload them through the app, allowing the geographical location of the property to be accurately recorded.
This technological approach not only aids in property identification but also helps reduce disputes and potential court cases related to fraudulent registrations, ultimately curbing revenue losses for the government.
