ITBP Raising Day Celebration

On 24th October, 2024, Prime Minister celebrated the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) on its raising day, commending its courage and commitment in safeguarding India's border with China.

PM extended his greetings to the ITBP personnel and their families, emphasizing that the force embodies valor and dedication in its service to the nation.
The ITBP, formed after the 1962 Sino-Indian conflict, currently has around 90,000 members dedicated to border security, internal law enforcement, and disaster management operations.
PM also expressed pride in the ITBP’s exemplary efforts during natural disasters and rescue missions, which serve as a source of inspiration for the Indian populace.
