Banjara Virasat Museum

On 5th October, 2024, Prime Minister inaugurated the Banjara Virasat 'Nagara' Museum in Pohradevi, Washim, dedicated to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Banjara community.

The museum, located in Pohradevi, a site revered as the "Kashi of the Banjara Community," holds deep spiritual significance for the Banjara people.
This five-story museum offers a comprehensive exploration of the Banjaras' history, culture, and way of life through 13 galleries featuring portraits, artifacts, and historical exhibits.
The exhibits showcase a range of traditional items, including tools, clothing, jewelry, and interactive displays like virtual reality experiences, immersing visitors in the Banjara lifestyle.
The museum is part of a broader development project spearheaded by Guardian Minister, aimed at preserving Banjara heritage while promoting tourism and cultural growth in the region.
