  • 30 Aug 2024

On 29th August, 2024, the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development has introduced the SHe-Box portal, a centralized platform for managing and monitoring sexual harassment complaints at workplaces across both government and private sectors.

  • The SHe-Box portal acts as a central repository for information on Internal Committees (ICs) and Local Committees (LCs) set up to address sexual harassment complaints in the workplace.
  • It provides a unified platform for women to file complaints, track their status, and ensure timely processing by the designated Internal Committees.
  • The portal aims to streamline the complaint process, offering assured redressal and a more efficient resolution for all stakeholders involved.
  • Real-time monitoring of complaints will be facilitated through a designated nodal officer, enhancing the transparency and effectiveness of the process.
  • The launch of SHe-Box reflects the government's commitment to improving workplace safety and addressing sexual harassment with greater efficiency and accountability.
  • By consolidating complaint management into a single platform, the portal ensures a standardized approach to handling such cases, benefiting both the complainants and the organizations involved.
