On 10th August 2024, Madhya Pradesh introduced the PM Shri Paryatan Air Service to enhance tourism by reducing travel time and improving access to key destinations.
- The service, effective from August 12, offers a 50% discount on flights until August 30, covering festive periods like Raksha Bandhan, Independence Day, and Janmashtami.
- The discount aims to make travel more affordable and boost tourism during the festive season.
- The air service schedule includes flights connecting major cities and tourist spots in Madhya Pradesh such as Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Rewa, Khajuraho, Gwalior, and Ujjain.
- A recent roadshow in Ahmedabad showcased Madhya Pradesh’s tourism potential, emphasizing its cultural heritage, art, wildlife, and major tourist sites.
- The state’s tourism initiatives also include upcoming events like the 100th Tansen Music Festival and the 51st Khajuraho Dance Festival, aiming to attract both domestic and international visitors.
- Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board is focusing on improving infrastructure, creating local employment, and protecting the environment to enhance its appeal as a diverse travel destination.
