Rythu Bharosa Scheme

On June 21st, 2024, the Telangana state cabinet has approved setting up a Cabinet sub-committee headed by Deputy Chief Minister M. Bhatti Vikramarka to prepare guidelines for the implementation of Rythu Bharosa in the place of Rythu Bandhu.
Key Points
- The deadline to submit its report is 15th July 2024.
- Ministers T. Nageshwar Rao, D. Sridhar Babu, and P. Srinivas Reddy will be the other members of the subcommittee.
- Rythu Bandhu scheme: The scheme is a farmer investment scheme launched in Telangana from 2018-19, wherein the government gives farmers an incentive of Rs. 5,000/- per acre per farmer each season for purchase of inputs like Seeds, Fertilizers, Pesticides, Labour and other investments in the field operations of Farmer’s choice for the crop season.
- Rythu Barosa Scheme: Under the scheme 15,000/- per Year will be provided to all Small and Marginal Farmers. Tenant Farmers are also eligible for financial assistance. Rs. 15,000/- per Year will be provided to Tenant Farmers who doesn't have their own land but they indulge in farming activity by renting the farm land. Agricultural or Farm Labourers of Telangana will get Rs. 12,000/- per Year financial assistance under Telangana Rythu Bharosa Scheme.
