Malkiat Singh

Malkiat Singh, a former Punjab Public School student, fulfilled his dream of summiting Mount Everest, inspired by a meeting with Sir Edmund Hillary, the legendary mountaineer, during his school days.

Singh, a former athlete and MBA graduate, embarked on his Everest expedition in 2022, following a rigorous training regime guided by his elder son.
After reaching the Everest base camp on April 20, Singh underwent acclimatization climbs before starting the summit attempt.
Despite facing delays due to bad weather, Singh successfully reached the summit on May 19, hoisting the Nishan Sahib and New Zealand national flags.
