Maharashtra’s First LNG-powered Launched

On 15th March, Maharashtra launched its first LNG-powered bus, aiming to convert 5000 diesel vehicles to LNG.

The bus will be operated by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation.
MSRTC plans to convert 5000 diesel vehicles to LNG alternative fuel vehicles gradually.
Converting buses to LNG is estimated to reduce pollution by 10% and significantly lower fuel costs.
MSRTC has signed an MoU with M/s Kings Gas for the conversion project, which includes fuel supply.
LNG distribution facilities will be set up at 90 depots across the state to support the transition.
