Made-in-India ASTDS Tug

On 2nd March, Union Ports, Shipping and Waterways Minister inaugurated the first-ever Made-in-India Approved Standardised Tug Design and Specification (ASTDS) tug, 'Ocean Grace,' and a Medical Mobile Unit (MMU) at Paradip Port.

The tug, built by Cochin Shipyard Limited under MoPSW, symbolizes Atmanirbhar Bharat, while the MMU reflects the port's CSR commitment.

Paradip Port's expansion, including the Western Dock project, aims to boost capacity and efficiency, emphasizing its vital role in coastal shipping.
The port's CSR activities include healthcare, education, environment, and skill development, with ongoing projects to uplift coastal communities.
