NCTE Year-End Seminar Shapes Future of National Mission for Mentoring (NMM)

The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) orchestrated a two-day Year-End Seminar on January 30-31, 2024, aimed at Sharing Best Practices and Periodic Review/Continuous Evaluation of the National Mission for Mentoring (NMM).

- Objectives: The seminar gathered 60 National Mentors, Mentees, Principals, Nodal Officers, academic dignitaries, and educational administrators.
- Aim: The focus was on discussing and reviewing the progress of NMM, fostering collaboration, and providing a platform for Mentors and Mentees to share challenges and suggestions.
- NMM Launch and Pilot Mode: NCTE initiated NMM in pilot mode on July 29, 2022, in 30 selected Central Schools.
- NMM Purpose and Vision: Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, NMM aims to create a pool of professionals supporting school teachers' continuous development.
