Comptroller & Auditor General of India (CAG)

Article 148 (1) states that there shall be a Comptroller and Auditor-General of India who shall be appointed by the President (for a full term of 6 years or 65 years of age whichever comes earlier) and shall only be removed from office in like manner and on like grounds as a Judge of the Supreme Court. He can be removed by the President on the basis of a resolution passed in the both Houses of the Parliament with special majority, either on the ground of proved misbehaviour or incapacity.
