China-ASEAN Non-Aggression Pact

On 13th July, 2023, China and ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) agreed to try to conclude a long-awaited non-aggression pact within three years.

  • The pact aims to prevent territorial disputes in the South China Sea from escalating into major armed conflicts.
