India, US Firms Partner to Develop ASW Drones

In March 2025, Indian firm Sagar Defence Engineering and Liquid Robotics (a Boeing subsidiary) signed an MoU to co-develop Autonomous Surface Vessels (ASVs) for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), enhancing maritime security and Undersea Domain Awareness (UDA).

  • The MoU focuses on manufacturing, system integration, testing, and establishing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities for the ASV ASW platform.
