SC Directions for Effective Implementation of POSH Act, 2013
On October 19, 2023, the SC directed all states/UTs' Ministry of Women and Child Development to appoint district officers under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act) for effective implementation of the law.
Important Guidelines of POSH Act
- Section 2 sets the context by defining a workplace and sexual harassment. It provides the reader with key elements, such as examples of sexual harassment as well as scenarios and the impact of such behaviour.
