Smart Lander for Investigating Moon
- On 19th January 2024, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) confirmed the successful soft landing of its Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (SLIM) on the lunar surface, making Japan the fifth country to achieve a Moon landing after the United States, Soviet Union, China, and India.
- SLIM, known as the "Moon Sniper," aimed for a precise landing within 100 meters of its target, showcasing advanced landing accuracy compared to typical spacecraft.
