Sixth Schedule of the Constitution
- Recently National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (Art 338A) has recommended Union Territory of Ladakh to be declared as a “tribal area” under the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution.
- Plus, Arunachal Pradesh Assembly unanimously passed a resolution for the entire state to be included in the Sixth Schedule of the constitution and to amend Article 371(H) to protect the rights of its indigenous population.
