  • The way warp and weft threads are joined together to weave clothes is called weaving. Basically the three types of weave are plain weave, twill and satin.
  • 'Plain weave' is the simplest and most basic type of textile weaving, in which the warp and weft threads are joined together in an alternating manner.
  • Plain weave technique is used in vaffambric, muslin, wanfabal, vafanwas, sarees, shirting, suiting etc.
  • ‘Twill weave’ is characterized by diagonal lines on its surface. This weave is used for decorative purposes.
  • 'Satin' is a basic weave with no regular pattern like twill. The surface of the cloth is like a fabric.
