New Technology Enhances HIV Genome Detection
Researchers have recently developed a novel technology that uses tailored fluorogenic tests to detect the HIV genome with greater accuracy, minimizing false positives in HIV diagnosis.
- Scientists at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) have created a new diagnostic platform that targets G-Quadruplex (GQ) DNA structures in the HIV genome.
- The GQ Topology-Targeted Reliable Conformational Polymorphism (GQ-RCP) platform was designed to offer a more reliable detection of HIV, particularly by reducing false positives and improving sensitivity.
