6th ASEAN-India Trade Agreement Review
The 6th meeting of the ASEAN-India Trade in Goods Agreement (AITIGA) Joint Committee took place from 15-22 November 2024, in New Delhi.
- Delegates from all ten ASEAN countries—Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam—attended the discussions.
- The AITIGA Joint Committee meeting saw the participation of eight Sub-Committees focusing on different aspects of trade, including market access, rules of origin, and customs procedures.
- During this round of discussions, five of the eight Sub-Committees met physically to advance negotiations and make progress on various trade-related issues.
