New Scheme for Semiconductor and Display Manufacturing Ecosystem
Recently, Government of India approved Rs.76000 crore comprehensive programme for the development of sustainable semiconductor and display ecosystem in the country.
Aim
- To provide attractive incentive support to companies those are engaged in Silicon Semiconductor Fabs (Fabrication plants), Display Fabs, Compound Semiconductors / Silicon Photonics / Sensors (including MEMS) Fabs, Semiconductor Packaging (ATMP / OSAT), Semiconductor Design.
Incentives under the Programme
Semiconductor Fabs and Display Fabs
- Under this scheme, the Government shall extend fiscal support of up to 50% of project cost to eligible applicants.
- Government will also work closely with the States to establish High-Tech Clusters ....
