Draft National Credit Framework
On October 19, 2022, the government unveiled the draft report on the National Credits Framework (NCrF).
Background
- It has been drafted by an 11-member committee headed by National Council of Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) chairperson Nirmaljeet Singh Kalsi.
- The new framework is a part of the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020.
Aim
- It aims to achieve equivalence between general and vocational education and allow learners to exit and re-enter the education ecosystem at multiple points
