​Mukhya Mantri Nijut Moina Scheme

  • Recently, the Assam government announced a new scheme - Mukhya Mantri Nijut Moina (MMNM) - to promote girl education and to end child marriage in the state.
  • Under the scheme, girl students enrolled in higher secondary education will get Rs 1000 per month from the government.
  • Girl students admitted in a three year or four year degree graduation course will receive Rs 1200 per month.
