​Thaipusam

Thaipusam, one of the most important festivals of Tamil Nadu, was celebrated on 11th February 2025.

Brief Description

  • Meaning: The word “Thaipusam” combines "Thai" (the Tamil month) and "Poosam," which is the name of a star that is at its highest point during this festival.
  • Celebration Time: This festival is observed on the full moon of the Tamil Month of Thai, that's from January till February.
