- NASA is set to launch the SPHEREx telescope to create the most detailed and colorful map of the universe, providing groundbreaking insights into cosmic history and the origins of life.
- SPHEREx is an infrared telescope designed to take spectroscopic images, dividing light into 96 bands to analyze cosmic structures in unprecedented detail.
- Unlike the James Webb and Hubble Space Telescopes, which focus on small sections of the sky, SPHEREx will scan the entire sky within months, mapping 1 billion galaxies, 100 million stars, and 10,000 asteroids.
