​NASA’s Lunar Trailblazer Launched

On 26th February 2025, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) launched the Lunar Trailblazer satellite aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center, Florida, to map and identify water resources on the moon’s surface.

Mission Objective: Mapping Lunar Water

  • The Lunar Trailblazer will investigate the presence of water, including ice deposits in permanently shadowed craters at the moon’s poles.
  • The data will help future lunar missions utilize water for drinking, oxygen production, and hydrogen fuel.

Understanding the Moon’s Water Cycle
