ODOP: Providing Framework for Value Chain Development
- The 'One District One Product' scheme has been implemented by the Central Government under the 'Prime Minister Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises' (PMFME) scheme to harness the export potential of each district and integration of the local economy.
- The objective of PMFME is to provide financial, technical and business assistance to upgrade the existing micro food processing enterprises.
- PMFME project allows availing benefits of scale in general services, input procurement and management and marketing of products in target markets.
