6th Regional Dialogue on Afghanistan

On 16th February, 2024, India asserted its significance in Afghanistan and rejected the use of Afghan territory for terrorist activities, including by groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, during the sixth Regional Dialogue of Secretaries of Security Councils/ National Security Advisers on Afghanistan in Bishkek.

  • The 6th Regional Dialogue included national security representatives from Russia, China, Iran, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.
  • Concerns were raised over the potential presence of anti-India terror outfits under the Taliban's rule, with India stressing the importance of preventing sheltering, training, or financing terrorist acts.
