About Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI)

  • In 2014, Mission Indradhanush was launched to strengthen and re-energize the programme and achieve full immunization coverage for all children and pregnant women at a rapid pace.
  • Aim of IMI
    • The goal of the special effort was to boost vaccination coverage in a few districts and cities, with the goal of reaching 90 percent coverage by December 2018.
    • Boost political, administrative, and financial commitment to comprehensive vaccination coverage for every child by advocating with relevant ministries/departments and stakeholders.
