Recently, New Zealand became the 11th Country to sign the Artemis Accords.
About the Artemis Accord
- NASA announced it in the year 2020.
- It is a collection of rules that govern the Artemis Program for crewed lunar exploration. This agreement is for lunar exploration and beyond, with both international and commercial players participating.
- The accords lay forth an agreed set of principles based on the 1967 Outer Space Treaty to promote a secure and transparent environment.
- US, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Republic of Korea, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, and Ukraine are among the signatories.
