DAC Approves Procurement of Tejas Mk1A for Indian Air Force

Recently, the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) approved the procurement of 83 Light Combat Aircrafts (LCA) Tejas Mk1A, after a long drawn process of finalising the contract and other details.

  • Tejas is indigenously-designed by Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) - an autonomous body under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and is manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
