Ministry of Power Notifies Norms and Standards for E-Certificate Trading Under PAT Scheme
The Ministry of Power in consultation with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has notified the price of per metric tonne of oil equivalent, for compliance under Energy Consumption Norms and Standards of Designated Consumer notified under PAT scheme.
PAT Scheme
- Pat scheme is a flagship programme of BEE under the National Mission for Enhanced Energy Efficiency (NMEEE).
- It is a regulatory instrument to reduce specific energy consumption in energy intensive industries, with an associated market-based mechanism to enhance the cost effectiveness through certification of excess energy saving which can be traded.
