CSIR-CSIO Develops Electrostatic Disinfection Technology
Chandigarh based Council of Scientific & Industrial Research-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIR-CSIO) has designed and developed an innovative technology that promises effective disinfection and sanitization as a preventive measure against the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Based on the electrostatic principle, the Electrostatic Disinfection Machine produces uniform and fine spray of charged droplets of disinfectants in the size range of 10-20 micrometre that kills a wide range of microorganisms.
- Droplets from the machine can cover the directly exposed and obscure surfaces uniformly with a high degree of efficiency and efficacy.
