Cap on Foreign Direct Investment Increased The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) released certain changes in the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Policy.

Single Brand Product Retail Trading: Single brand retail stores are those that carry products sold only under one brand. 100% FDI will be automatically allowed for such retail trading. In cases where the FDI exceeds 51%, 30% of the value of goods purchased must be from India. Such mandatory sourcing requirements, must be met as an average, in the initial five years.
