Global Annual to Decadal Climate Update

According to the Global Annual to Decadal Climate Update – recently released by the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) - it is almost certain that before 2025, the global temperature will hit an all-time high. The report is produced by the United Kingdom’s Met Office, the WMO’s lead centre for annual to decadal predictions.

  • From 2021 through 2025, every year is likely to be at least 1℃ warmer. There is a 90% likelihood of at least one year during 2021-2025 becoming the warmest on record which would dislodge 2016 from the top ranking.
