4 March: National Safety Day

• The National Safety Day (NSD) is observed on 4th March to commemorate the foundation of the National Safety Council (NSC) of India.
• The day aims to raise public awareness of all safety principles, including road safety, workplace safety, human health safety, and environmental safety.
• This year’s theme of observance is ‘Nurture young minds – Develop safety culture’.
