India-US Exercise Tiger Triumph Begins in Visakhapatnam

On 1st April 2025, the fourth edition of the India-US Exercise Tiger Triumph commenced in Visakhapatnam to enhance disaster relief coordination.

  • The bilateral Tri-Service exercise focuses on interoperability and Standard Operating Procedures for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief.
  • The fifteen-day exercise involves key assets from the Indian Navy, Air Force, and Army, including ships, helicopters, and infantry units.
  • Indian Navy ships Jalaswa, Gharial, and Mumbai, along with integral helicopters, will participate in the operations.
  • The Indian Air Force will deploy C-130 and P-8I aircraft, along with MI-17 helicopters, for aerial support.
  • The Indian Army’s 91 Infantry Brigade and 12 Mech Infantry Battalion will contribute to ground operations.
  • The exercise aims to improve disaster relief coordination, ensuring an effective and swift response to emergencies.
